It has been over a month since the last "update" about this bike tour. I found it a little hard to write about the experience due to decision which both Nadja and I took to travel a little separately. Thankfully we both kept on going, and are meeting along the way.

So what's happened over the past month?

Travelling solo for sometime has been an interesting experience. -I travelled from Czech Republic to Poland and returned back.

-I met old couchsurfing friends I hosted in Malta one year ago.

-New friendships have been built in both countries.

-I went trekking in the Tatra Mountains. -I cycled in to Germany. -I'm covering less cycling days per week, but more Km per ride. -I got to experience familiarity with a whole Maltese family I've known most of my life because they all happened to be in Germany in the right place at the right time.

-My brain has had time to think and allow my brain to explore. -I found the inspiration to share my Ironman story

- I travelled by train and by car

It wasn't all good moments and happiness, but things go on. "It will pass"

Good moments come, and they will end. Bad moments come, and they will end; opening up to another good moment which will also end.

I find myself getting more comfortable on the road. The simple life with nothing more than that which I am carrying with me. Unfortunately that comfort sometimes allows for the brain to think of certain comforts back home. This can sometimes pluck on the strings of my heart and makes me miss home. In these comfort moments I then have these realisation moments where I zoom out from myself, and realise, "Look where I am". "Dude. You're actually doing this."

So here I am. In Nuremberg with my old boss. Writing a blog post. Every few days moving from one place to another. Meeting new people, hearing about different realities from different types of people. Being graciously greeted by strangers most days.

I'm extremely lucky, and I'm very grateful.

Next destination: Dormund, to meet my cousin Thomas.
