I told myself I was going to take it easy while going on this adventure.
Having said that the first 2 days felt like a mission to cover as much distance as possible. Race brain kicked in 🤦♂️ I kept running away from myself with a goal of pushing.
Thankfully, even though in that mindset I found the moments to stop and take in whats going on and where I am.
2 weeks ago I was in a state of psychological paralysis, yet thats what gave me the courage to take on this impulsive decision to come and do this. Thank you rock bottom.
But now here I am. 4 days having walked 100km and the race brain is easing up.
I am able to be more in tune with myself Without too much judgement. I am happy to observe. I am grateful to feel the wind. I am blown away by the scale of things once again and to feel so small in the big scheme of things.
Joy in the small things like stopping to pick and eat wild berries.

Acknowledgment of as I’m seeing the mountains around me, I’m actually walking up a mountain myself. I can zoom out so much more.

It‘s overwhelmingly beautiful and I found myself often in tears. Between being more in tune with my demons and feeling big waves of gratitude.
After 2 days of walking like a beast I realized that I’m not here alone. There are so many people with their own stories, missions and reasons to be here. It is very inspiring.

I know I have built a thick skin and learnt to keep distance from people, but I do acknowledge there is a lot of love around.
I hope in time I will be able to break down the armor I surround myself with.
The moments away from my thoughts are a blessing. And being here allows for more opportunities to be present in the moment.
The moments with my thoughts are less distorted and more at ease.
I am grateful for my race brain, wild berries, inspiring stories from all around the world and I am extremely grateful for the mountains to remind me that it is ok to be as small as I am in the big scheme of the universe.
